Kelantan is located on the north-east coast of Peninsula Malaysia facing the South China Sea and covers a land area of 14, 922 sq. km. Its State capital Kota Bharu, also known as the "Cultural City", is a bustling town well connected to other major towns in Malaysia. Kota Bharu also serves as the centre for Kelantan's administrative, investment and business activities.
 
Being one of the thirteen states that constitute the Federation of Malaysia, Kelantan shares the country's stable political and economic climate.
 
The East Coast Corridor concept of which Kelantan is part of, highlights the competitive edge it has in terms of surplus productive human resources, abundance of untapped natural resources, generous investment incentives both from State and Federal levels, inexpensive industrial land supported by well planned nation-wide infrastructure that is among the best and the most developed in this region.
