Recipes
PENANG ROJAK

 

Ingredients:
½ pineapple
½ sweet turnip (bangkwang)
1 cucumber
1 starfruit
3 small green mangoes
3 pink guavas
2 semi-hard bean curds (tau kua)
Ingredients for Sauce:
2 Tbsp hoi sin sauce
2 Tbsp prawn paste (hae ko)
1 Tbsp sugar
2 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp shrimp paste (belacan)
Garnishing Ingredients:
½ cup roasted groundnuts
Preparation of Ingredients:
Pound roasted groundnuts.

Remove pineapple skin, eyes and core. Cut into 6 pieces lengthwise and slice coarsely.

Cut cucumber into wedges.

Peel sweet turnip and cut into wedges.

Seed mangoes and slice coarsely.

Slice starfruit coarsely.

Cut pink guavas into wedges.

Slice bean curds coarsely.

Method:
In a mixing bowl, add in the sauce ingredients and mix thoroughly.
Then mix all the ingredients together with the sauce.
Dish mixture onto a serving plate. Garnish by sprinkling pounded groundnuts over the mixture.
